The Process of Your Mission
I hope you remember that you were sent to space in order to explore life in zero gravity. You all have a mission to accomplish and a lot of work is required of you. I will not make you work all the time; you will find some leisure time as well. Below you find the tasks that you need to accomplish.
Good Luck!
1. Before you get too excited about the exposure to zero gravity, I would recommend to familiarize yourself with our blog. It is our tool of communication. Before you start blogging plese familiarize yourself with the rubric that I will use to evaluate your participation in discussion on your exploration.
2. Next familiarize yourself with your work tasks. Find out what responsibilities does your job require of you.
commander pilot flight engineer mission specialist payload specialist
3. You will work in teams as follows:
Commander, Pilot and Flight engineer - Sleep and Recreation
Mission Specialists - Mourning Routine and Exercise
Payload Specialists - Food
4. Each team will have their own responsibility
5. Astronauts communicate with the earth not only by written messages but also using audio devices. After you spend a quality of time working on your discoveries you will meet with the rest of your team to share your findings. In your team you will work on creating a 10 minute podcast during which you will discuss your new knowledge and experiences about living in zero gravity.
TIPS ON CREATING PODCAST
Remember: Make it real. Don't read off your notes.
6. After spending some quality of time with your crew members you are asked to write a journal page before you come back to earth. For examples of journals written by atronauts go the this website, reflect and start writing. These will be posted in our class wiki. Also see the journal rubric attached below, which I will use to assess your journal writting.
