•Developed and implemented the Puppy Crawl: a pet-friendly tour marketed toward families and

animal lovers to reach alternative untapped demographics to raise awareness of museum programs.

•Redesigned established “tour scripts” into “resource packets” to streamline training of tour guides, ensure consistency of tours, and provide a quick reference field resource for tour guides.

•Participated in the AASLH’s Workshop, Connecting Your Collections to Teachers and Students where museum professionals from institutions across the U.S. worked together to brainstorm and develop strategies to maximize a museum’s potential as a teaching tool.

 

Education Department Fellowship

Chicago History Museum: Education Dept.

March 2015 to May 2015

•Assisted in development and provided archival research support for collaborative effort between

CHM and Chicago Cruise Lines to develop Chicago Along the River, an experimental boat tour that aimed to integrate archival visual aids distributed to guests via smart phone technology.

•Collaborated with other members of Public Programs department to brainstorm new tour ideas

•Provided research and administrative assistance to tour guides to develop content for ChicaGO24
