4B. Knowing and understanding effective strategies and tools for early education.

Sub-Standard 4b asks that teacher candidates are able to create and use effective strategies and tools in the classroom for early childhood education. These tools can range anywhere from the use of electronics, assistive technology, and a wide range of other tools that will help all students.

UDL and use of Assistive Technologies

Kids around the World (Lg.)

Below you will find the downloadable links to a discussion on the use of Assistive Technologies in a UDL classroom. This discussion fulfills Standard 4b because it demonstrates my understanding of the use of assistive technology in an elementary school setting for students with disabilities. It is important that educators understand how to differentiate their lessons through the use of assistive technology, and understand how to use these technologies in the classroom on a regular basis to help build a UDL environment. By using these strategies, educators are using effective tools in the classroom.
