Artifact 8-COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS PROGRAM GOALS and OBJECTIVES W/RIGOR AND HIGH EXPECTATIONS

General Goals of the Computer Information Systems Program

1.      Each student will complete a personal portfolio including resume, cover letter, interview guidelines, interview thank you letter, and letter of resignation.

2.      To assure that students reach 80% of competency for the Computer Information System program.

3.      To promote membership and activity participation in the Future Business Leaders of America co-curricular club.

4.      To raise the awareness of each student on the importance of continuing education after high school.

5.      To provide industry certification as a Microsoft Application Specialist.

Specific Objectives based for the Computer Information System Program

1.      Each student will demonstrate knowledge of the nature and operation of technology systems.

2.      Each student will demonstrate knowledge of ethical, cultural, and societal issues related to technology.

3.      Each student will demonstrate proficiency in the use of technology

4.      Each student will practice responsible use of technology systems, information, and software.

5.      Each student will demonstrate proficiency in the use of technology.

6.     Each student will address all the elements of student life.

9.     Each student will gain professional knowledge and people skills within the Workplace Readiness program.
