At the start of my third year, I auditioned to be a cantor for Sunday Mass at Madonna della Strada, Loyola's chapel on campus. I earned a spot and began cantoring at Mass. I have been involved in music ministry since 3rd grade, so this was just another stepping stone in how I could use my talents to benefit the Loyola community. Music, for me, is a great form of prayer and expression. I hope my actions can lead others deeper into their spiritual lives. By being involved in music ministry, I found a community in which I felt supported and in which I felt I was putting my talents to the best use.
