This is my final paper for my Theology capstone course. In this paper, I explore the interplay between faith, modernity, and secularism through the lens of Hans Joas. In addition, I pair Joas' work with that of Elaine Graham, a feminist pastoral theologian. In summary, I conclude that while modernity brings about many new challenges to Christianity, the Christian message ought to be articulated through interreligious dialogue and action. By doing so, Christianity can overcome the challenges of modernity and express its message of Christian love and humility.
