Final Engaged Learning Reflection

Every human activity can be put at the service of the divine and of love.

We should all exercise our gift to build community.-Jean Vanier

Colorful Ideas (Lg.)

Through this internship, I learned about my own leadership style, my passion for community development and my role in civic engagement. You can read about the following experiences in my attached paper.

1. How the Tuesday Night Supper shaped my leadership style

2. How a nearby hotel's challenge to Catholic Charities showed me the extent of community development

3. How working at the Homelessness Prevention Call Center inspired me to be more civically engaged

In addition, read about how I acquired valuable skills that I can apply to my future. These skills include an improvement in communication, better organization skills and a deeper awareness of social justice. The attached reflection provides a synthesis of my experience at Catholic Charities.
