What do I need to do to prepare for the ePortfolio Project?

During the Student Teaching semester, Drs. Holmes and Lopez will meet with students to support the development of the Professional ePortfolio. In addition, online videos and printed material are available on this website to guide students through the process.  Students and faculty should familiarize themselves with the six School of Education Teaching Quality Principles which will serve as the formal structure of the ePortfolio and TaskStream, our ePortfolio Service Provider. The School of Education Teaching Quality Principles address the following areas:

·        Subject Knowledge

·       Pedagogical Knowledge

·       Caring & Teaching Skill

·       Learning to Learn

·       Diversity & Multicultural Understandings

·       Technology Integration

The Professional ePortfolio serves as a digital resume of exemplary work related to the six Quality Principles.  Student Teachers should have at least one artifact to demonstrate their proficiency for each principle.  To prepare for ePortfolio development, students should begin the process of reviewing artifacts and selecting artifacts from their academic experience. In addition, students should update the following administrative items to include in their portfolio:

·        Biography, Cover letter, and Resume

·       Test Scores and Transcript

Please Note:  All students are required to create an ePortfolio as a requirement for all Student Teaching Course using TaskStream.  Activation and subscription information will be distributed via email at the beginning of each semester.
