Grading:

Each semester grades will be assigned with the following weights:

·        Tests                              50%

·        Quizzes/Projects                20%

·        Homework/Classwork          15%

·        Final exam                        15%

Letter grades will be assigned based on the Salpointe grade scale as posted in the Parent/Student handbook.

Homework:

Homework is a way to practice and master concepts learned in class.  Therefore, homework will be given almost every day.  Any questions regarding

the homework will be covered the following class period, and then it will be collected.  Late papers will be accepted for partial credit until the chapter

test.  No credit will be awarded after the test unless it has been prearranged with me.

Class Procedures:

            1.  All homework is to be done in pencil.

            2.  All homework is to be done on loose-leaf or graph paper.  No assignments will

be accepted on spiral notebook paper.

            3.  After returning from an absence, you have the same number of days to

complete missed work as you were absent.  You are responsible for missed

     work, not me.

4.  All school rules will be enforced including tardy, gum chewing and dress code

violations.  Dean referral slips will be given.

5.  If you know you will be missing class, meet with me before the missed day(s)

to make arrangements for the notes and assignments.

Academic Integrity:

Copying homework, presenting another student’s assignment as your own or cheating on a test or quiz will result in a zero for that assignment/quiz/test.
