Grading Policy:
Grades are given in five different areas: Tests, Homework, Quizzes, Projects/Presentations, and the Semester Exam. Each area counts for the following percentage of the semester grade:
Tests 40%
Homework 15%
Quizzes 15%
Projects/Presentations 15%
Final Exam 15%
Supplies:
Textbook, , Geometry published by Glencoe/McGraw-Hill
3 subject notebook, or 3-ring binder with separators
Loose Leaf notebook paper. Spiral notebook paper will not be accepted for homework.
Graph paper.
Protractor and Compass
White board marker(s)
TI-83 or TIi-84 graphing calculator
Pencils, colored pencils, red pens
Homework.
Homework is a way to practice and master concepts learned in class. Therefore, homework will be given almost every day. Any questions regarding the homework will be covered the following class period and then collected. Late papers will count for partial credit as long as they are turned in before chapter test.
Class Procedures:
1. All homework is to be done in pencil.
2. All homework is to be done in your notebook or binder.
3. All lesson objectives, definitions and conjectures should be recorded in your notes.
4. After returning from an absence, you have the same number of days to complete missed work as you were absent.
You are responsible for missed work, not me.
5. Cheating will result in an automatic zero for the assignment, quiz, or test.
This includes copying homework assignments or representing another students work as your own.
6. I am available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday before school, 7:30-8:10.
I am available Monday Thursday after school until 3:30. Please feel free to meet with me in my classroom during this time for additional help.
7. All school rules will be enforced including tardy, gum chewing and dress code violations. Dean referral slips will be given.
