Context:
I created this lesson plan in CI 3750 in the fall of 2005 while in Block 2. I was in a group with Megan Machuga, Lisa Fowler, and Heather Sullivan
Impact:
This lesson helps me integrate Media and Technology with the Language Arts Curriculum for fifth grade. If necessary, I will be able to modify this lesson for different ages and ability levels.
Alignment:
NETS-T II-A: This lesson plan will help students develop technological skills based on age appropriate activities. Students will also be able to create a word processed document and improve their typing skills.
NETS-T IV-A: Students will e-mail the assignment in the form of an attachment for a final grade as a way of increasing their ability to communicate through technology.
NETS-T IV-C: I have included a rubric with this activity that details how the students will be graded on their development of technological skills.
NETS-T V-B: Included in this activity is a reflection in which I can reflect on the use of technology in the school where the lesson is taught
NETS-T VI-D: Students will be encouraged to stretch periodically throughout the assignment in order to maintain safe and healthy computer methods.
NETS-T VI-E: By working individually, students will have equal time at a computer.
