At our retreat during the Fall, our instructor had suggested that we buy a journal so we had somewhere to reflect on the experiences we were having. I found that reflection is one of the most important aspects of an internship and allows you to bring up anything that happened at your site. It makes it easier to look back and talk about what happened rather than trying to remember everything. This reflection paper allowed me to look back on my first semester experiences and plan for second semester. I had the opportunity to switch departments and use the skills that I learned in Recreation and Leisure and implement them in the Fitness department. Also, I discussed what a "good" society would consist of and how it would better the overall lives of individuals.
