SECTION C: Evidence of Effectiveness and Success

Standard 9: The program makes a measurable difference in learning for all participants.

All students enrolled in both first and second year of the veterinary assistant program complete general knowledge tests three times during the year to assess growth in program content.  This data is attached under 10a. 78)

We hope to have 100% of our students take the NOCTI Workplace Readiness Skills test this year.  Last year, all Isle of Wight County students were given the test at The Pruden Center by the Isle of Wight County Schools CTE, Fine Arts, and Federal Programs Coordinator.  According to her report, 75 students from IOW were tested including five enrolled in the veterinary assistant program.  The average score for the 75 students was 76.4 out of 100, ranging from 28% to 93%.  All five veterinary assistant students scored at 76% or above, with the average of those five being 83% (ranging from 76% to 88%).
