Welcome to project 5! For this project I worked with a friend outside of class. We were able to use the microphone and drawing features included in Voicethread's software. I have attached my completed project as a link, that you can find below the annotation.
Voice Tread Activity
Students will need to create a voicethread that others can add to. The photo provided will be of the United States of America. The students are to use the drawing tool to circle the state they were born in and share one interesting fact about that state. They will then chose two other states that they either would like to visit or have visited before.
1) Creators/Authors of the Media Project (include your group members if it is group work). Victoria Huish
2) Identified Grade Level(s). Third
3) Subject matter: Does integration of subject matters take place? What is (are) the subject matter(s)? Technology, ELA, Social Studies
4) List one or two goals/objectives for this project. Students will be able to identify states by using the drawing tool on voicethread, and clearly state what they want to say according to the requirements of the lesson. Students will be able to respond to other students' work.
5) In what ways do you foresee could this project facilitate kids learning in your classroom? Will this media project encourage use of problem solving skills by the learner? If so, in what ways? This project could teach students about the states that make up our country, as well as how to manipulate technology to accomplish what they need to do.
6) The link to the product (s) (eg. the URL for VoiceThread or the URL for iMovie on YouTube) if any. Link found at bottom of page.
7) What kind of file (.docx, .pdf, .wmv, .mp3, .m4v ... ) is the product? What plug-in is needed to view the product and where to download the plug in? Access to the internet and flash player are the requirements.
