"Creativity takes courage" — Henry Matisse
Last January through June I had the pleasure to work with students ages 5-21 years of age through the DCIU at the Pennington School. This school serves the needs of students with multiple behavioral/emotional, physical and cognitive disabilities in a small setting. Working with the students here has helped me grow as an educator, and enabled be to practice accommodating the needs of diverse learners through the use of adaptive devices, planning instruction, and work in an art room setting with a number of one-on-ones, nurses, teacher aides, and other instructional support staff in this caring environment. Below is some examples of student works.
