Weds: Quiz NEXT Thurs on book K chapter 4 sections 1 and 2. Hard coies of study guide handed out in class with all vocab defined and other concepts that you need to know. You will also need to study "Structure of an Atom" and " History of the atom." 

Thurs: Section Review Hard Copy (page says 87). Sign progress report due tomorrow.

Weds: Look at figures 2-5 in the text and draw them with labels. Make sure you have the correct number, label and charge for each particle.

Thursday: Answer these questions in complete sentences. 1) What is an atoms mass # equal to? 2)How is the atomic mass of an element calculated? 3) How do isotopes differ from one another. 4) Write a simple description of an atom.

Friday: Structure of an atom guided notes, due Tues. Quiz on section 2 Tues the 13th. It is a vocab quiz. You need to know the following terms:a. atomic number b. proton c. strong force d. neutron e. isotope f. mass number g. weak force h. ion i. electron j. gravitational force.
