March 2017 7th grade classwork and homework

Tentative quiz dates and test dates. Fri 3/10 quiz on sections Ch 1 sections 1 and 2.

March 6: Tour of the cell video on classroom.  Book C chapter 1 section 1 Watch the vocab and visual concepts.Read and do the vocab for homework (write and draw). Concept map as classFri 3/10 quiz on sections 1 and 2.

March 7: Review DRA answers as class. Start Book C chapter 1 section 2 Vocab and visual concepts. Nearpod prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. HW: Read  Book C chapter 1 section 2. Write and draw vocab. Fri 3/10 quiz on sections 1 and 2.

March 8: DRA as a group. Reinforcement worksheet (build a eukaryotic cell worksheet on nearpod) Organelle worksheet. Fri 3/10 quiz on sections 1 and 2.

March 9. Finish in class work on the article inside the cell.Fri 3/10 quiz on sections 1 and 2.

March 13: March 13 HW: Book C Chapter 2 Section 3 DRA or 10 facts if you get the filled in DRA

March 15: We will have a nearpod in class on Book C chapter 3 section 1  . Book C chapter 3 section 1 read .Write and draw vocab. Vocab and visual concepts in class.

March 16: Book C chapter 3 section 2  . Book C chapter 3 section 2 read .Write and draw vocab AND DO DRA OR 10 FACTS DUE 3/20. Vocab and visual concepts in class.

March 20: Nearpod in class. Dimples and DNA HW.  

March 21. There will be two quick labs in class today: taking your chances and making a punnett square. Elf heredity is for HW

March 22: We will be reading and doing the DRA for Book C chapter 3 section 3  in class. We will also be making a chart comparing mitosis and meiosis. There will be a venn diagram (hard copy only)

March 23: You will make diagrams describing both mitosis and meiosis. Writing and drawing (or using art supplies) for each phase.
