Below you will find various guides for the tools and features students may be using in LAT.

Using a Taskstream Keycode

Keycodes are distributed to students whose institution is providing them with an LAT account. This guide will walk students through how to create their account using their keycode. 

Download this file and add the appropriate code. This document can then be emailed to any students needing that code.

 

Purchasing/Activating Subscription

For students who are required to purchase their account using a credit card, this guide will walk them through activating their subscription to LAT.

Self-Enrollment

For DRF Programs where self-enrollment codes are being used for Authors, this guide will provide students with step by step instructions on how to enter their code.

Download this file and add the appropriate code. This document can then be emailed to any students needing that code.

Authors in a DRF Program

An Author is responsible for creating work and submitting it via a Directed Response Folio (DRF).

This guide will walk students through how to add work and submit it to their evaluator.

Requesting Comments on Work in a DRF Program

For DRF Programs where the ability for students to request comments on their work prior to submission, this guide will walk them through how to request feedback from a Reviewer. 

Folios and Web Pages

The Folios & Web Pages Tool facilitates the creation of web-based portfolios, resource folios, and web pages to which users can add text, images, standards, files, and other work created in LAT.

This guide provides instructions for creating a portfolio or web page, editing the structure and adding content.

Lesson Builder

The LAT Lesson Builder facilitates the creation and management of standards-based plans for classroom activities.

 

From the Lesson Builder home page, you can:

  • Create new standards-based lessons, using a variety of templates.
  • Quickly establish lesson basics in the Activity/Lesson log.
  • Search for and view your existing lessons.
  • Edit, rename or delete your existing lessons.
  • Archive your lessons.

This guide will walk users through creating a lesson plan, adding content and sharing the lesson with others.

 

Unit Builder

The LAT Unit Builder facilitates the building of units of standards-based instruction by creating new lessons and activities and/or sequencing existing ones.

From the Unit Builder home page, you can: 

  • Create new units of standards-based instruction, using a variety of templates.
  • Search for and view existing units.
  • Edit, rename or delete existing units.
  • Archive one or multiple units.

This guide will walk users through creating a unit plan, adding content and sharing the unit with others.

Turnitin for Authors

This feature enables an institution to seamlessly send student work to Turnitin (an external vendor) for originality reporting.

This guide will walk students through requesting their originality report from LAT when this feature is enabled.

Analytics for Students

LAT includes dashboards to help users gain more insight into the work they are doing within the platform. 

The Student Dashboard will be available to any users who have been identified as a students within the system.

This guide will walk students through the steps of accessing and viewing their dashboard.
