Reflection

The data driven action plan created by myself and my team gave me a better understanding of the Comprehensive Guidance Program.  Through gathering I have begun to understand how important the management of the program is.  Reviewing data and finding interventions that work for the students I need to work with is all about finding balance in my program.  I will work with my administrator to develop the program and I will work with my counseling team to establish a specific set of criteria to base our progress on as well as to establish ground rules for who does what and when.

It is through the management of the program that I will monitor all of the pieces of the ASCA model and make sure everything is being appropriately implemented.  The major part of program management is evaluation and therefore, I have attached my action plan a second time, this time with the project brief and brochure because I see the management piece as more of a collaborative effort between all staff, administration, and the counselors.  Those are the tools I would use to provide information about particular school needs and how I can help to my administration and potentially even the board of education.
