 Dominion Titans

I graduated from Dominion High School in 2014, which is located in Loudoun County. Dominion is one of the more recently built high schools in Loudoun, being founded in 2003. My graduating class was 292 people out of a population of around 1200. During my four years in high school I was involved in the French club, started a club for breast cancer awareness and played Field Hockey. Field Hockey is not a high school sport in Loudoun County. During my Freshman year, I started the Dominion Field Hockey club and helped girls at other schools around the county start a club too. To this day, almost all of the high schools in my county have a club Field Hockey team, and I hope one day it will become an official sport. In effort to raise awareness about the growing popularity of Field Hockey in our area, I worked with the principal of my high school and athletic directors to organize the first ever Field Hockey game to be played at a high school in Loudoun County. This game was extremely successful with a huge turnout from people all over the area, even Fairfax County, in support of getting Field Hockey into the schools. Ever since then, it has become an annual game played at Dominion High School called "Under the Lights."
