3. Work with Ronald McDonald House Chicago.
The Ronald McDonald House of Chicago works with Lurie Children's to house parents of children receiving treatment at the hospital. As many children visit Lurie's in critical condition and often stay for long periods of time, providing a comfortable place for parents to stay is tremendously important. To learn more about Ronald McDonald House and how to get involved visit their website: http://rmhccni.org/
4. Advocate for Children's Health!
Promote children's health legislation by writing to legislators. Learn more by clicking here!
5. Attend an Event to Benefit Children
There are tons of events each year that benefit Lurie Children's or children's health overall. Whether you are interested in dancing the night away, climbing up hundreds of stairs, or supporting a radiothon, there is an event that can fit your interests. Learn more about these events and others, here.

6. Support Overall Children's Wellness
Find a cause for Children's wellness to support. For instance, Lurie Children's recently celebrated "Unity Day" where the hospital members and patients wore orange to show they stood in unity against bullying.

7. Visit the March of Dimes website
Many of the patients that I visit while volunteering in the NICU are there because they were born premature. Educate yourself about premature babies and learn what you can do to promote the wellness of pregnant mothers and infants at the March of Dimes website.
8. Check out other service learning opportunities through Loyola University Chicago
Visit Loyola's service learning website by clicking here. This site provides a great amount of information about community organizations where students have served in the past, as well as information on how to get involved in a service project.
