M.Ed. Higher Education, Loyola University Chicago

I completed my M. Ed. degree with a concentration in Student Affairs from Loyola University Chicago in 2009, which gave me the foundational knowledge and skills to both understand and apply what I learned about holistic student development theory, research and assessment techniques, the process of forming a spiritual identity, leadership development, integrated course design, and curriculum development. While at Loyola University Chicago, I served as a Graduate and Teaching Assistant in the Center for Experiential Learning, which gave me a space to intentionally explore and apply the concepts and theories I was learning about in my courses.

B.A. English, Roosevelt University, With Honors

I completed a B.A. in English from Roosevelt University in 2007, where I first became curious about experiential learning after engaging in a service-learning course as part of the Roosevelt Honors Program. This course, more than any other as an undergraduate, opened my eyes, mind, and heart to the world around me. It brought my learning to life, inspired me to pursue a career in the field of education, and sparked my curiosity about engaged, experiential learning.
