Club Discovery was composed of women ranging from mid 40's to late 70's.  The women attended group for five sessions on Fridays. Exclusion and inclusion criteria for group composition is indicated below.

Group Demographics/Size: Group members will consist of 8-10 women of varying ages across a life span who are survivors or who are currently diagnosed with all types of cancers and are members of Gildas Clubhouse.

Inclusion criteria: Group members will consist of women with a diagnosis of cancer or who are survivors of cancer that are able to perform light to moderate physical activities. Group members will also have an interest in participating and interacting with other cancer survivors through group activities that help to build a sense of community, enhance overall well being and improve quality of life.

Exclusion criteria: Group members that are excluded from the group are men, children and teens. In addition, members who have severe difficulty completing light to moderate physical activity, severe cognitive impairments and other health related conditions that may not be able to tolerate a 2 hour group session may not be appropriate.

Time and Length of Group Sessions: Sessions will run 2hrs (11am-1pm) during each group meeting for a total of 5 sessions over the course of 5 weeks.  Sessions will include a break half way through the group for a light snack, water and rest. Sessions will include a small introduction to the activity in the beginning and a closing activity at the end of each meeting. The group will occur on the following dates below:
