Weekly and monthly assignments:

READ 20 MINUTES A DAY!!!! 

At the end of EVERY month your reading calendar is due with guardian signature!

We have decided to forego weekly spelling to make more time for grammar, editing, and dwelve deeper into our class reading.

Please be prepared to spend 10-20 mins. a couple times a week during study or at home doing grammar, writing, or editing work instead of the spelling work.

Journal requirements: Out of the 33 points awarded weekly;

1 will be for your NAME (I can't stand guessing who wrote what half way through the year)

1 will be for STAPLING the assignment to your journal (as is clearly stated on your assignment)

1 will be for a proper heading with your name and the TITLE on the top

3 will be for typing (unless you let me know that it will be a hardship beforehand--once in awhile)

3 will be for filling out the graphic organizer if there is one provided

We will start reading the play of Anne Frank this week!  AND I AM PICKING UP THE TRUNK I TOLD YOU ABOUT ON SUNDAY MORNING!!!

Monday 6/17

Read the play and some groups will perform theirs today.

One day this week we will go over our rainy day 5 paragraph essays and review the process and format for writing a 5 paragraph essay.

Tuesday 6/18   Read the play aloud.

Share feedback about the year.

Wednesday 6/19    Share a favorite journal and finish the play.
