• ACEI International Conference and Exhibition, March 2005
  • During this conference I attended seminars about effective questioning strategies, Jerome Bruner's Concept Attainment model, and early childhood inclusive activities and centers.
  • I also was a presenter in the Hall of Excellence with other ACEI members.  Our presentation called, “Why Whiteboards Work Wonders”, showed how teachers can use whiteboard learning communities to extend and refine thinking.  A picture of our presentation can be found above.

• New York State Association of the Education of Young Children Annual Conference, April 2005

  • During this conference I attended seminars about yoga for children, sensory gardens (how planting flowers can lead to many learning experiences), and the project approach. 
• Association for the Education of Young Children of Western New York Annual Conference, March 2004
  • During this conference I listened to Sylvia Chard’s keynote speech about the project approach.  I also attended seminars about helping reluctant young readers discover books and a hands-on workshop about exploring open-ended, creative art activities.
