- ACEI International Conference and Exhibition, March 2005
- During this conference I attended seminars about effective questioning strategies, Jerome Bruner's Concept Attainment model, and early childhood inclusive activities and centers.
- I also was a presenter in the Hall of Excellence with other ACEI members. Our presentation called, “Why Whiteboards Work Wonders”, showed how teachers can use whiteboard learning communities to extend and refine thinking. A picture of our presentation can be found above.

New York State Association of the Education of Young Children Annual Conference, April 2005 - During this conference I attended seminars about yoga for children, sensory gardens (how planting flowers can lead to many learning experiences), and the project approach.
- Association for the Education of Young Children of Western New York Annual Conference, March 2004
- During this conference I listened to Sylvia Chard’s keynote speech about the project approach. I also attended seminars about helping reluctant young readers discover books and a hands-on workshop about exploring open-ended, creative art activities.

- As a member of this organization I have attended many meetings on the subjects of collaboration, the first year of teaching, and stress management. I have also helped to put together baskets for adults with special needs during December of 2004.

- As a member of this educational honor society, I was recognized for outstanding service to the chapter.
- I participated in a penpal project with Enterprise Charter School</st1:place>. The letters written to and from the students are included below under the file attachment section.
