Education

Although I consider myself a life-long learner, I also believe it is important to document my formal higher education.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering Management from Marquette University in May 2003.  Industrial Engineering is the "engineering of people" so I learned a great deal on how to engineer our lives to be more efficient and effective.  This makes me extremely helpful in situations of space maximization or process improvements.  But it makes me pretty obnoxious in places that are not using effective line management (read:  Airport security lines).

I earned a Master of Education in Higher Education from Loyola University Chicago in May 2010.  After working professionally for five years, I decided to return to school to earn a masters in higher education.  I began my journey part-time in Fall 2008, taking one class at a time; however, returned to school full-time after I was laid off from Motorola in 2009.  This experience prepared me to work professionally in areas of higher education.  During this experience, I confirmed that my hearts work was in assisting students discover themselves and become better versions of themselves.
