For my math observation, I observed and interviewed a girl that for the purpose of this assignment, we will call Emma. Emma is a fifth grader in Mrs. Bazley’s class at Moravian Falls Elementary School. I observed Emma during a lesson on probability. Mrs. Bazley used different colored jellybeans in a bag to demonstrate probability. After she taught the lesson, students were given their own jellybeans to determine the probability of pulling each color jellybean out of a bag in one try.
