Standard 3.2 Adaptation to diverse students

This artifact uploaded for this particular standard helps to teach and adapt to diverse learners through the use of a learning center that is hands on and very visual. The learning center allows children to create the mystery goo known commonly as Oobleck, out of cornstarch and water. The children are then challenged to play and experiment with Ooblecks different phases of matter as well as draw the molecular structure of the phases of matter on a piece on an assessment form.

I would enjoy implementing this activity in my classroom because it's hands on and minds on, and allows the children to explore Oobleck's different textures. I also really enjoy how the children can be assessed more informally through participating in this learning center and lesson.
