Artifact #27 - The following is a list of industry related credentials students receive who successfully complete the fire and rescue program at MTC.

See the attached Virginia Department of Fire Programs Course Certification.  This form must be completed by instructor and approved by the VDFP prior to all courses.

Also attached is the approval form for Emergency Medical Technician component.  This form must be approved by the Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services prior to starting any courses.

November 2007, attended the Virginia Office of EMS Symposium in Norfolk, Virginia.

November 2008, attended the Virginia Office of EMS Symposium in Norfolk, Virginia

November 2009, attended the Virginia Office of EMS Symposium in Norfolk, Virginia

At this conference, I attended a variety of classes to meet my paramedic and instructor recertification requirements. Other classes I have taken include newer teaching techniques from instructors across the country.

 May 2009, completed my Fire Instructor Level II certification.

October 2009, attended a training course for hazardous materials where we did PH testing and used a variety of meters taught by the Virginia State Police.
