1.  Rockingham County Fire and Rescue awarded a $5000 Heritage Grant to Massanutten Technical Center's Fire and Rescue program.  The award was received by the County from Firemans Fund Heritage Foundation.  The monies will go to purchasing a 64 training videos to ensure that students are receiving the latest training techniques. 

2.  A Fire and Rescue student, David Huddle, received the Woodmen of the World's LifeSaver recognition.  He was first on the scene of a fire and pulled a man from a burning building, saving his life.
