# 47 Description of How Program Participates in School Improvement

The students involved in this program serve as role models for other students in school.  These students assist with providing fire extinguisher training for the entire school.  In addition to this as part of their course they visit each of the classes located in the same building to conduct an emergency preplan.  During this they walk through class and lab areas to also look for any safety issues and discuss these with the respective instructors.  As part of this program students are taught and certified to provide first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
