Artifact #64 - Publications
I am employed by Rockingham County as a Lieutenant in the Fire Department and I am an instructor, both for the Fire Department and for Massanutten Technical Center. Most of my teaching involves using state-mandated curriculum, therefore I am not called upon to publish curriculum or articles.
I also serve on the VA Office of Emergency Medical Services, Grant Team, and review grant applications from Fire Departments across the Commonwealth of Virginia. The committee awards approximately $500,000 in grants on a bi-annual basis. As Committee Chairman, I then compile a Summative Report to provide information to Fire Departments across the Commonwealth. A sample of my Summative Report for this fiscal year can be found at: http://www.vdh.virginia.gov/OEMS/Files_page/Grant/Awards0609.pdf
