What

You will create your professional ePortfolio using TaskStream ePortfolio templates. The ePortfolio will be a collection of all the writing assignments and the media projects you will accomplish for this course. You can continue to add to the collection of your exemplary works – your innovative design of instructional activities – even after this course is finished.

Why

ePortfolios today are largely institutional reporting tools--assessment management applications. This is true for SUNY Cortland as well. But institutional requirements are not the only reason for you to have an ePortfolio. When applying for you career job, with an ePortfolio published on line, you can share samples of your best works in any media, anywhere, any time.

How

You will use a premade ePortfolio template in Task Stream to create your ePortfolio.

1. TaskStream.com>Webfolio Builder> Presentation Portfolio (2nd in the row) > Put a title in the box next to “Web Folio Title”> Select a template designed for your learning community> Childhood Education Standards Portfolio

2. All your writing assignments and media projects for this course will go under “Examples of Technology Usage in Education.”

3. You are encouraged to complete the whole ePortfolio gradually. You can select projects from other Block I courses to build your ePortfolio. But in addition to “Examples of Technology Usage in Education, only Homepage, Resume and Favorite Links & Resources pages are required to be completed for this course.

4. You will review at least 3 of your classmates’ portfolios giving reflective feedback. If a classmate already has 3 peer reviews do not review that classmate’s but select someone else.

Evaluation Rubric

2 Homepage, Resume, Favorite Links & Resources 2
