Happy Campaigning!! This week we will continue on the campaign trail. We will start by analyzing the third and final Presidential debate between Senator Obama and Senator McCain. This will gear us up for our own presidential debate later this week. All students should "dress up" on Thursday or Friday to prepare for the debate. Candidates should be dressed professionally and ready to give their opinion on key world issues as well as local school issues.
BELLWORK
1. What would you do if you were elected President of the United States?
2. What benefits or perks of the job would you use most?
3. What problems or issues would you focus on?
CLASSWORK
1. Class vote on proposition 405.

1. TURN IN the completed political polls.

Political Poll is due today - 50 points
interview 10 people ages 18+ and ask them the two questions on the survey. See attached form for more information and interview questions.
BELLWORK
1. What issues do you feel need immediate attention from our government leaders? (Consider federal, state and local issues.)
2. If you could create the "perfect" president what qualities and or experiences would that person possess?
3. List one characteristic that you possess that would make you a good president? If you are a Presidential Candidate list THREE.
CLASSWORK
1. Campaign- party platform - each candidate will being to develop their platform for campaigning and our up coming Presidential debate on THURSDAY NOVEMBER 3RD AND FRIDAY NOVEMBER 4TH.

BELLWORK
1. On a scratch sheet of paper (provided) create 3 questions you could ask any of the Presidential Candidates. Put your name on the paper and hand it in. These questions may be used during the debate.
CLASSWORK
1. Presidential Candidates will prepare for their debates.
2. Debates will be videotaped.
3. Candidates MUST be dressed appropriately. Men - tie, slacks, dress shirt and dress shoes. Ladies- nice pants, (no jeans) skirt, blouse, dress shoes. (Time will be given to candidates to change clothes.)
4. All other campaign managers (the rest of you) should dress up as well. (See above statement on proper presidential attire.)
