Science Demonstration

Here is the rationale for my science demonstration.

NC- North Carolina DPI Elementary Education Specialty Area Standards
Standard: Standard 3: Elementary teachers have a broad knowledge and understanding of the major concepts in science.
Indicator: Indicator 2: Teachers have knowledge of basic physical science concepts including:
Detail: Structure and properties of matter

Context: 

I created this Science demonstrate to meet a requirement of my CI 3543 class.  I gave this demonstration to a third grade class at Mountain View Elementary.

Impact:

This demonstration impacted my students by giving them the opportunity to think critically about a situation.  They were able to further understand the concept of density.

Alignment:

I have met standard 3 indicator 2 by showing my understanding of the structure of properties of matter in my demonstration.
