Portfolio Rationale

Context:  During the creation of this portfolio, I have used many programs and devices to complete this assignment.  Digital cameras, video recorders, iMovie, Adobe Photoshop, and Taskstream are just a few of the technological devices I have used.  This portfolio is a recorder of the events that took place in the fall of 2007 during my student teaching at Mountain View Elementary.  Located within my portfolio are folders for Math CI 3030, Reading CI 3030, Diversity, and Media Literacy.  All these folders contain instances where I have used technology to further my education process.

Impact:  This portfolio is not only a tool for me to graduate, but it is also a tool to start my career.  My purpose was to create a professional artifact that reflects who I am as a teacher and what my goals are for the future. 

Alignment:

NETS-T IA:  My technology skills are reflected in every folder of my portfolio.  In the Media and Technology folder I showed my abilities through using such devices as Adobe Photoshop, iMovie, video and digital cameras, Taskstream, web pages, and web links.  In my Math CI 3030 and Reading CI 3030 classes I used a scanner to download my student's work into the corresponding folder.  On my class web page I set up a photo gallery and fun activities for the students I observed to visit.
