A Little More Personal

I have given you some statistics about LIFT, but the real impact of what we do only hits us when we hear feedback and words of gratitude from our clients. Listen to a testimonial from Frederick Mack, a former client of the LIFT-DC branch and father of 10:

Frederick came to LIFT having just enrolled in a treatment program for alcoholism and seeking employment. Through the determination of Frederick and the Student Advocates at LIFT-Chicago, he was able to secure a part-time job, join a support group, AND enroll in a program to continue his education.

In this video, however, Frederick emphasizes that the most important asepct of LIFT is its humanizing approach to client service and the self-confidence it gives its clients after every single meeting. Although the economic downturn will only serve to increase the statistic of one in six individuals living in poverty in America, LIFT understands that each of those persons is more than a number. They are separate personalities with separate skills and assets that will allow them to succeed at obtaining economic stability and well-being.
