In 1998, she decided, on a whim and against her father's begging and pleading, to "try something new" by exploring the west and attend the University of Arizona. She graduated from the U of A in 2002 with a bachelor of Arts degree in English and Political Science. She followed her graduation with a wedding in August in Tucson. She gradutaed from Northern Arizona University with a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and a Principal/Administrative Certificate in December 2012.
Before entering the field of education, she enjoyed working as a campaign consultant and strategist for Presidential, Gubernatorial, and State Office campaigns as well as working in the non-profit sector. She went back to her original dreams of teaching High School English in 2005, teaching, coaching, and sponsoring various clubs and projects at Sahuarita High School. During this time, she also started her family and now has 3 beautiful and energetic children, ages 7, 5, and 3.
She has taught freshmen, Pre-AP freshmen, juniors (American Literature) and AP Language and Composition; and now adds Honors Sophomores, Honors World Literature and AP Literature and Composition to that list. Mrs. Malovich is proud to be a part of the Salpointe community and looks forward to a new journey with a wonderful faculty and fabulous group of students.
