I'm using the same artifact here as I did in my social science section of my portfolio, as my social science course was also writing intensive. My responsibilities for the paper included working on parts of the method section and the discussion. The method section was easier because there's a really straightforward, set order of things that need to be in the method section of a social science paper. The discussion section was more difficult, as we had not to just present the results, but talk about what they mean in the bigger picture, which was much more challenging. I had to revise my sections several times and was amazed when my professor told me that she sometimes revises papers fifteen or twenty times between when she first begins them and when they get published. It was different writing for a "professional" audience with this paper, as our initial assignment was to write it so that we could present it at a professional conference. The organization was different from how I typically write papers for my classes and it was weird writing in a more detached, less personal style for this assignment. I also realized I like MLA style better than APA :)
