As continued progress toward the ideal departmental staffing model proposed last year, the addition of a full-time RD position in Horan would help meet the current needs and demands of our students, current work and initiatives including living and learning communities, heightened demands placed on us by Title IX, and increase of critical incidents and mental health concerns among our students. Recent college-wide retention data revealing the challenges of retaining first-year students in Horan Hall further supports this need.
