Increase Donor Retention
I, as the Director of Annual Giving, will generally focus on the mass solicitations, specifically I will focus on donors who contribute $5,000 or less each year, this fiscal year I will focus on retaining these donors.

Proposed actions to achieve goal: In FY16 the Manhattan College Fund for Manhattan had a donor retention rate of 71.23%. 1,199 donors gave in FY15, but not in FY16. These 1,199 donors contributed $386,902.47 in FY15. I plan on increasing retention by

                 1. Rolling out a more advanced and comprehensive recurring donor program.

                 2. Focusing on more personalized direct mail, email, and phone solicitations.
Expected Results: I believe through persistent efforts we will be able to increase the retention rate of Fund for Manhattan donors to 75%.
Details/Description: If we can increase our retention rate we will increase our alumni participation and increase the money we raise.
 
Increase Young Alumni Participation
The average alumni participation for the classes 2005-2016 is 2.74%. I will focus on increasing the participation.

Proposed actions to achieve goal: Increase young alumni donors by attempting to communicate with them in different/new ways. Specifically use social media and young alumni events to actively solicit contributions.
Expected Results: I believe increasing young alumni participation to 5% for the Fund for Manhattan is a reasonable expectation.
