Administrative Goals

Goal
GoalMapping
Goal is to offer counseling services for students four evenings per week with at least two clinicians per evening.
 
Goal is for Counseling Center staff to offer at least three new outreach programs per semester. Outreach will be around issues affecting students like substance abuse, healthy/disordered eating, harm reduction, dating violence, etc.

The Health Services office is currently understaffed with just one nurse practitioner for a campus with over 2,000 residential students. Goal is to increase nurse-to-student ratio and to be able to offer extended hours for students.
 
Goal is to raise the current salaries of these two staff members to a more competitive rate.

Assistant Director is functioning now as a Director in terms of autonomy and responsible. This is especially true when addressing campus-wide public health concerns. I am proposing a 10 K salary increase.

Goal #2 - Further integration of Titanium
The Counseling Center will continue to integrate the Titanium scheduling and record-keeping software into office procedures, to better serve our students and streamline record keeping.

Proposed actions to achieve goal: Gaining more facility with Titanium hardware.

                        There are concerns about going to a paperless record- keeping system w/o any backup system for these records.
Expected Results: Ability to retrieve any electronic record with out difficulties
Details/Description: Once we can achieve expected results we will be prepared to no longer generate paper copies of completed forms.
 
#3 - Hand Washing project
Health Services will educate students and promote frequent hand-washing behavior, as this is a major preventative activity that can improve overall campus public health.

Proposed actions to achieve goal: Last year our Nurse Practitioner collaborated with our Director of Assessment to develop an assessment process to measure student compliance.
Expected Results: This was a baseline measure so it was difficult to predict student level of compliance. It was expected that compliance wold reach at least 50%. Student compliance reached 90 %. Our results for 2016 - 2017 is to achieve or surpass last year's compliance rate of 90%
