Taskstream (by Watermark)

Taskstream by Watermark is the assessment system used by the Division of Education.  It will be used to complete self-evaluations, field mentor & cooperating teacher evaluations, and instructor evaluations.  It will also be used to track your admission and continuance in the program, track key assessments, and complete your capstone portfolio.

Taskstream is required throughout the program, typically beginning in EDUC 250 and through your student teaching semester.

How do I purchase an account?

  • In order to purchase TaskStream you have a couple of different options.
  • Please note that your account will need to be active throughout your entire program at Mayville State University.
  • Once you have purchased your account you will want to enroll in the Admission, Assessment, & Portfolio DRF by following the instructions attached to the bottom of this page. After you have enrolled please inform Teresa at education@mayvillestate.edu

What is a DRF?

  • A Direct Response Folio (DRF) is the language that Taskstream uses for each area.  Information about each DRF can be found below:

Admission & Continuance: this DRF is where everything will be stored for admission to and continuance in the program. Some examples of what you will complete are the biographical data form & an admission interview and you will upload your cleared background. Any area where you do not see a green exclamation mark means that you have some sort of responsibility (i.e. need to complete a form or upload a document). If you see a green exclamation point we will enter information, for instance, when we get your praxis scores we will enter that information into the system. You are able to see any of the information that we input by clicking the scores/results tab on the right hand side. Completing the requirements in TaskStream is pretty easy, there is typically a "complete this form" link or an area to add text or attachments. Once you add the information you will need to submit your work for us to see it.

Portfolio: this DRF is where you will build the portfolio that is presented in EDUC 401.  We have built the portfolio to follow a checkpoint system throughout the program.  Checkpoint #1 will occur in a methods course (EDUC 302/319 or General Methods), Checkpoint #2 will occur in EDUC 401s, and the final Checkpoint #3 during EDUC 401.  If you happen to miss the first checkpoint you are still responsible for the content when building the final portfolio.  Information regarding the portfolio rubric, checkpoint information, and other informational documents can be found in the student self-help section at the bottom of the portfolio DRF.  Professors will mention the portfolio throughout your program and provide ideas on what artifacts should be included. Key Assessments are scored in the Portfolio DRF.

Evaluation Checkpoints: in our program we have multiple checkpoints throughout the program where you will complete self-evaluations, instructors will complete evaluations, and your supervising teacher will complete evaluations. All of that work will be done in this DRF.  When you are in a course that requires a self-evaluation your professor will alert you of the requirement and all required evaluations by supervising teachers will be initiated directly from Division offices.
