There are several organization templates that must be completed prior to using Aqua.  These will need to be reviewed annually to ensure the Aqua system stays up to date with any hierarchical or section offering changes.

These files include:

• Organization Node Template
  • This template is the hierarchy template for the institution and includes Colleges, Departments, and Offices.  It may not change much from year to year, but should be reviewed annually.
• Academic Sessions Template
  • This template establishes the academic semesters within an academic year.  This will need to be updated annually.
• Courses Template
  • This template builds all of the courses offered for alignment purposes.  For UCA Core, this will be all of the courses approved for the outcome being assessed in a given academic year.  This will need to be updated annually.
• Sections Template
  • This template builds out the sections for each of the above listed courses.  Remember, sections for Aqua are the course identifier - (hyphen) the CRN (e.g., PHIL2325-12345).  This will need to be updated annually.
• User Template
  • This template establishes users in the system, and levels of permission.  This will need to be updated annually.  There is potential for more frequest updates depending on institional needs.
