Student Learning Outcomes

Goal 1: Student will differentiate the methods of intellectual inquiry in multiple disciplines. 

1.A Student shows evidence of application of multiple perspectives.

Goal 2: Students will demonstrate a broad scholary knowledge base with sufficient depth. 

2.A Student shows evidence of constructive participation in class discussion.

Goal 3: Students will critically analyze information.

3.A Student will demonstrate knowledge of primary and secondary texts. 

Goal 4: Students will synthesize knowledge to examine complex issues.

4.A Students will be able to find and critically evaluate evidence at a graduate level. 

4.B Student will demonstrate their own critical approach to knowledge in the field.

Goal 5: Students will apply an interdisciplinary approach to make informed decisions.

5.A Student shows ability to think critically and synthesize work of others.

Goal 6: Students will communicate effectively in written papers and oral presentations.

6.A Student will write a paper that presents critical and synthetic analysis of the topic.

6.B Students will make oral presentations that convey the central and specific issues.
