Dear Future Teacher,

Thank you for your interest in education and your consideration of SUNY Geneseo as the first stop on your path to becoming a teacher. SUNY Geneseo has been preparing great teachers since 1871. My name is Melissa Dussault, Director of Student Success in the School of Education, and part of my job is to provide information to prospective students about our educational programs. I also serve as a 2nd advisor for our Adolescence Education candidates.

The Ella Cline Shear School of Education offers undergraduate programs leading to initial teacher certification in Early Childhood and Childhood, Childhood with Special Education, and Adolescence Education. We offer graduate programs leading to professional certification in Literacy (B-12), Multicultural Childhood Education, and Adolescence Education.
