Welcome to DeKalb County Teacher Academy for Preparation and Pedagogy (DCSD TAPP). The program is designed to meet the need of critical areas in education, and provide exemplary learning for every DeKalb employee everyday. We invite highly motivated and dedicated individuals who possess the knowledge, skills, and disposition for working with diverse learners to apply to our program.

Our goal is to develop quality educators who are:

• pedagogically competent;
• knowledgeable in the content area;
• able to work with diverse learners; and
• able to build and participate as a member in a professional community of learners.

Teacher candidates who successfully complete our rigorous  program will receive a Georgia Professional Standard certificate in their content area.
