Learning Outcome Addressed:  Evaluate how organizational development addresses and responds to (meta) community issues and community development. (Learning Outcome 4)


Required Artifacts:

  • Organizational Development Analysis 
  • At least 1-2 additional artifacts that are related to your understanding of how organizational development addresses and responds to community issues (example list below)
    • Papers, projects, or presentations from a major or core class 
    • Projects or presentations conducted for your academic internship
    • Websites or other links related to your academic and/or internship experience 
    • Other articles, books, or resources related to your internship experience 
    • Relevant photos, videos, etc. r
    • Other related organizational development items 

Curate each artifact in 2-3 sentences. Describe how each artifact represents your learning in relation to and attainment of this learning outcome.

Reflection on Artifacts (500 words minimum):

  • Reference Bolman and Deal (2008) four organizational frames from Sweitzer and King's (2014) chapter. Based on these frames, what frames are more prominent in your organization than others? Why do you think that is the case? 
  • What have you identified as your site's organizational culture? How have you been able to identify it? (Recommend referencing Warrick's article.) 
  • Does your organization have a relationship with the surrounding community? If so, what does that relationship look like? If not, why do you think that is the case?
  • How does your site respond to community needs or issues?
  • Draw comparisons between Adam Davis' article and your organization. Do you think your organization would agree with Davis? Why or why not? 

 Cite at least 1-2 EXPL 390 readings within the reflection and make reference to your learning artifacts.
