I am involved in a few organizations here at Longwood. I am a member of the Cormier Honors College, thus I am a part of the Honors Student Association. I joined the Honors Student Association shortly after my first month of my freshman year. During the second semester of my freshman year, I joined Sigma Alpha Pi. This organization is the national society for leadership and success. I also joined Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity for Women during my second semester of my freshman year. However, after I switched my major, I became very busy trying to play catch up on all my classes to be able to still graduate on time, so just this semester (Spring 2015), I had to disaffiliate from Zeta Tau Alpha.
Since I came into college as a nursing major, I was a part of the Nursing Student Association during my freshman year, and first semester of my sophomore year. After I switched my major, I dropped out of the Nursing Student Association. Then, at the beginning of my Junior Year, after I had officially claimed my major as Information Systems, I joined the Information Systems Organization. This semester, I took on the role of Vice President of this organization. Lastly, this semester I was asked to join Beta Gamma Sigma, which is the premier honor society recognizing business excellence to the top 10% of the class.
