Dungeons & Dragons: Week 3

For this week, I'm having some trouble staying motivated, but nevertheless the sessions must go on, so preparing as a DM will be the topic for the week. First off, a Dunegon Master must organize everything when beginning: this means teaching new players to play, setting up the adventure, and taking everyone's character information into account including their class and backstory. The largest part of this is setting up the adventure; whethere creating one's own homebrew campaign or running froma a module, a lot of work goes into it. Personally, I use a VTT, or Virtual Tabletop, called roll20 that lets me play with my online friends. Roll20 makes use of uploaded images and built in D&D rules to provide an authentic experience. It's the DM's job to find all the "assets" and put them together to present to the players, essentially. Even with a module, where everything's written out, coordinating everything is a huge job. The Dungeon Master runs the world of the game, after all!

For this week, we did not play due to a player having a conflicting scheduled event, but I'm ready for the next week as we approach the midpoint of the adventure!
